1. Translation
LEDAS international coordinators provide medical interpretation into English, Russian and Chinese. If the patient requires translation into another language, he can make a request for interpreter services through the LEDAS international coordinator, or by contacting the Busan Foundation for International Cooperation independently. Medical statements can only be issued in Korean or English.
-
2. Pick-up service
Upon arrival in South Korea/Busan, the patient is greeted by an English-speaking driver with a name tag and transported safely and comfortably to the destination (hotel, hospital, train station, airport, port). The service is also available on the day of departure from Korea.
*Note. The service is free, but in some cases patients may incur additional costs. Please contact your international coordinator for more details.
-
3. Booking of hotel/flight
Treatment at LEDAS is carried out on an outpatient basis, so patients must make a decision about accommodation before travel. If patients have problems finding or booking accommodation, they can contact the LEDAS international coordinator for assistance. If patients need assistance with the flight booking process, they can submit a request to the LEDAS international coordinator.
-
4. Wellness/Tourism
If a patient needs advice on tourism or health issues, they can contact the LEDAS international coordinator for help.
-
5. Follow-up support
Even after the end of the treatment, the LEDAS international coordinator remains in touch with the patient to monitor his condition and help him communicate with the doctor if necessary. The coordinator will assist patients planning to travel to Korea to sign up for treatment under the relapse prevention program.
